It all started in 1927 when our grandparents opened a lingerie store in the Washington Heights neighborhood of Manhattan

At that time the area was a melting pot for newly arrived immigrants

Sometime in the late 1950s our grandmother Elsie decided that Madison Avenue would be a great place to relocate

From 1958 until 2024 our family has owned an operated

After apprenticing for several years and learning the ropes in the Madison Avenue store, we decided  to branch out and open a new location on third Avenue and 70th Street, in the heart of Manhattan's upper east side

So in 1992  Lingerie & Company was born and ever since  we have been offering our customers an incredibly focused selection of bras, underwear, nightgowns, robes, hosiery, pants, tops, slippers and swimwear.
